How to create Bitcoin address | bitcoin HD wallet

/* BIP39: Mnemonic code for generating deterministic keys , BIP39 - used to manage your recovery seed and recovery words. Abstract. This BIP describes the implementation of a mnemonic code or mnemonic sentence – a group of easy to remember words – for the generation of deterministic wallets. It consists of two parts: generating the mnemonic, and converting it into a binary seed */
let bip39 = require("bip39");

/* A lightweight wallet implementation. At the moment it supports key creation and conversion between various formats. To use BIP32 HD wallets, first include the hdkey submodule, For the seed i suggest to use bip39. */
let hdkey = require('ethereumjs-wallet');

/* bitcoinjs is a proven library and ecosystem for Bitcoin development using javascript. */
let bitcoin = require('bitcoinjs-lib');
let wallet_hdpath = "m/44'/0'/0'/0/0"; hdwallet = bitcoin.HDNode.fromSeedBuffer(bip39.mnemonicToSeed(seed)); let wallet = hdwallet.derivePath(wallet_hdpath + index)
Now from wallet you can get privatekey and address both

Is it possible to create bitcoin addresses from alternative existing keys like ssl certificates?

Is it possible to create an address from the public key of say a ssl certificate, or pgp key, or ssl key. And also make the corresponding private key so the owner can claim the bitcoins later (if someone sends them some).

Creating bitcoin addresses (tech questions)

I'm currently looking into the fundamentals of creating new bitcoin addresses and private keys. I have made a php-script that converts any 64-byte hex-key into both a private key and a bitcoin address. When i was researching the specifications i found this example on "https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_specification" "hello 2cf24dba5fb0a30e26e83b2ac5b9e29e1b161e5c1fa7425e73043362938b9824 (first round is sha-256) b6a9c8c230722b7c748331a8b450f05566dc7d0f (with ripemd-160)" The ripemd-160 address contains 1 satoshi which can be seen on blockchain. Is there any way to find the private key to this address or is that impossible since since just "sha + ripemd" isnt the protocol and the result is just a random address with unknown private key? Secondly i'm also generating vanity addresses with oclvanitygen. I tried generating a few addresses with 7 letters (ignoring case) like "1satoshi" and "1qwertyu". But it seems that they have different difficulity (estimated time to 50%) even though they have the same amount of letters. I can't seem to find an explanation to that.

A self-contained python code to create bitcoin addresses (public and private keys, signatures)

Hello,
I recently completed an old python class to create bitcoin address. It makes the computation on the bitcoin elliptic curve, manage private keys in integer and in base58, make the transformation to the public key and to the bitcoin address. It can also sign and verify messages. The verification function uses the trick that you don't need the public key to verify a message but just the bitcoin address. This code is still experimental, but I think it's worth sharing.
You can see the code here : https://github.com/HurlSly/Python/blob/masteBitcoinECC.py
Hope this can be of interest for someone.

Why is it more computationally demanding / more expensive to create a Bitcoin address that has a lower case character after the "1"?

There is something I don't understand about the processing power needed to create Bitcoin addresses.
I was playing around with sites that create vanity addresses (just for the experience - no need to remind me "not your keys not your coin") when I observed something that appeared odd.
It costs more to create an address that starts with a lower case than it does to create an address that starts with an upper case.
For example on one site:
MattE - 0.001 MATTE - 0.001 MatteY - 0.025 MATTEY - 0.025 matte - 0.025 mattey - 0.2 mATTE - 0.025 MaTTE - 0.01 mATT - 0.001 MATT - free
"mATTE" (starts with lower case followed by four upper case) is 0.025 while "MaTTE" (starts with one upper case, one lower case, then three upper case) is 0.01).
The level of "difficulty" reflected these differences in price.
Why is it more expensive to create an address that starts (after the "1") with a lower case?

There is no split in November. Let's call it like it is, Amaury is choosing to create his own (forked) coin that pays one address 8% of mined funds. In that sense, it is similar to ZClassic, Bitcoin Gold or Bitcoin Candy

What's Bitcoin Core behavior after running out of the 999 receiving and change addresses it generates when creating a wallet?

Does it starts reusing them from the beginning again? Or does it keeps generating addresses 1000, 1001, 1002, etc?
If the latter, what are the implications for when you restore from your hdseed? Do you need to take extra steps to make your wallet aware of beyond 999 addresses?
What's the Electrum behavior for this? How many addresses it generates by default?

What makes ChipMixer special?
ChipMixer creates Bitcoin addresses (chips) and funds them with specific sizes. There are chips with 0.001 BTC, 0.002 BTC, 0.004 BTC and so on till 4.096 BTC. When you deposit your Bitcoins, you receive same amount in chips. For example you deposit 0.112 BTC and you receive 0.064 + 0.032 + 0.016. Each chip was funded before your deposit, so there is no link between them and your deposit on blockchain. They are already anonymous. With each chip, you receive its private key, so you can spend them any time you want.
Why us?
We offer the best privacy you can get from Bitcoin mixer.

  • you have full control over mixing - it makes process random
  • outputs are fungible - every chip is exactly the same
  • outputs are faster than inputs - from blockchain perspective, you spend them before sending to mixer
  • output may be higher than input - optional betting inside
  • you can use multiple small inputs to merge into one big output off-chain
  • outputs can be used instantly - private key is yours and you set miner's fee
  • no fee, donation only - pay as much as you want
  • no accounts, no bitcodes to link your inputs
  • optional signed source of funds
  • we wait 48h for your input transaction and we can wait more on request

You click on split button for 0.064 chip exchanging it for two 0.032 chips.
You click on split button for 0.004 chip exchanging it for two 0.002 chips. You click donate on smallest chip. Thank you!
Now you have 3 * 0.032 + 0.002. You click withdraw all.
Step 3 - withdraw
You see list of four private keys. Each marked with its size (3 * 0.032 BTC and 0.002 BTC) and public key. There is no on-chain connection between them and funds you deposited.
